We take donations through PayPal – which is simple to use and secure. Donations of any size, small or large, are vital for us to keep doing what we do. If you’d like to make a donation, you can click here to give any amount.
If you want to support something literary that is open, odd and different from what currently exists, please do consider supporting us. We are hugely grateful for the level of support we’ve already received, and hope we can keep taking this project from strength to strength and allow writers of all income levels to participate.
By way of a thank-you for your support, we offer a number of perks for donors at different levels.
- £6+ We’ll send you a Residency Book of your choice.
- £20+ We’ll include you in the list of donors in the next Residency Book to be published.
- £50+ We’ll send you a unique “care package” from the next residency, including several small items harvested from the location and a handwritten letter.
- £200+ We’ll name a Liminal Residency scholarship after you. If you’ve ever wanted to have a scholarship in your name, this is one of the most economical ways to so… and you’ll be providing a writer on a limited income with a unique opportunity to participate in a Residency they might otherwise be unable to afford.
Residency Books
For each Residency we produce a unique, limited-edition pamphlet featuring fiction, poetry, photography and essays by the writers involved. These are produced in runs of just 200 copies, and sold for a flexible price of £5 or more. You can browse and purchase the Residency books we have available here.

What do you use the money for?
We use the money from sales and donations to cover the expenses involved in running a Residency and to help writers who might not otherwise be able to afford to attend take part. We want this to be an opportunity that’s open to as wide a range of people as possible, and hate the idea of financial insecurity being a barrier to participation. Having disposable funds allows us to cover travel and accommodation costs for participating artists.
Do you accept donations in any other way?
If you prefer not to use PayPal, but would like to make a donation, please do get in touch so that we can work out an alternate way forward. Thanks in advance!
Are there any other ways to support you?
If you like what we’re doing and want to help us do more of it, there are loads of other ways you can support us. The easiest and cheapest way is simply to tell people about the project. Post about us on social media (we’re on Twitter and Instagram). Talk about us in pubs. Get in touch if you’d like to feature us in an article or on a blog.
